Preventive plans
Steps Involved in IVF:
Procedure Description:
Preventive health plans are structured health management strategies designed to proactively address and prevent potential diseases, disorders, or other health risks before they develop into more serious conditions. These plans are tailored to an individual's specific health needs, risks, and family medical history, and they often involve regular check-ups, screenings, lifestyle assessments, and vaccinations to maintain optimal health and early disease detection.
Such plans play a pivotal role in maintaining long-term health by empowering individuals to manage their health proactively. This involves regular consultations with healthcare professionals, who monitor health parameters and address any early signs of illness. By focusing on preventive measures, individuals can improve their quality of life and reduce the risk of developing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.
Preventive plans are not only about addressing potential diseases; they also promote overall wellness by focusing on mental, emotional, and physical well-being. These plans often include nutrition counseling, exercise guidance, and mental health support, offering a comprehensive approach to enhancing the individual's lifestyle and well-being.
Procedure Duration:
The duration of preventive health plans can vary significantly depending on the individual's health needs and goals. Typically, these plans are ongoing and adaptable, meaning they can evolve as one's health circumstances change over time. The core of preventive care includes regularly scheduled appointments with healthcare professionals, such as general practitioners, nutritionists, or specialists, to conduct routine evaluations and screenings.
Preventive health plans often involve multiple phases, including an initial health assessment phase, where the healthcare provider collects and analyzes a comprehensive health history and conducts relevant tests or screenings. The next phase is the development of a personalized plan that targets specific health needs and outlines a schedule for routine screenings, lifestyle changes, and follow-up visits. For those undergoing lifestyle changes or treatment adjustments, there is often a monitoring phase to track progress and make necessary modifications.
Recovery time is generally not applicable to preventive plans, as the focus is on maintaining and improving health rather than recuperating from a condition or procedure. However, some components of the plan, such as specific vaccinations or minor medical interventions, may require short recovery periods or follow-up care. The overall goal is to sustain health over time, reducing the need for acute treatment and long recovery periods.
Benefits:
- Early Detection and Intervention: Regular screenings and assessments help detect potential health issues in their early stages, allowing timely intervention and reducing the likelihood of serious conditions developing.
- Personalized Care and Lifestyle Guidance: A preventive plan offers tailored strategies for maintaining health, such as personalized diet plans, exercise routines, and mental health practices, enhancing overall well-being.
- Cost-Effective Long-Term Health Management: By preventing major illnesses, these plans can reduce healthcare costs in the long term, as proactive care is often more affordable than reactive treatments for advanced diseases.
- Comprehensive Health Monitoring: Individuals benefit from regular check-ups and assessments, ensuring their health remains on track, and any abnormalities or health risks are addressed promptly.
- Empowerment and Improved Quality of Life: Proactive health management empowers individuals to take control of their health, leading to a better quality of life and reduced stress related to potential health issues.

Risks & Considerations:
- Overdiagnosis and Unnecessary Testing: Preventive plans sometimes include extensive screenings, which can lead to overdiagnosis or identification of conditions that may never cause harm, resulting in unnecessary anxiety or medical interventions.
- Potential Costs: While preventive care is generally cost-effective in the long run, the upfront costs of regular check-ups, diagnostics, and personalized health strategies can be substantial, particularly if not covered by insurance.
- Varied Standards of Care Internationally: The quality of preventive healthcare varies by country, making it essential to thoroughly research and choose destinations with established standards and accreditations.
- Language and Cultural Barriers: When seeking preventive care abroad, language and cultural differences may affect communication and understanding between patients and healthcare providers, impacting the overall experience and care quality.
- Follow-Up and Continuity of Care: Preventive plans often require ongoing care and follow-ups. If medical tourists return to their home country, continuity of care can be challenging, requiring careful coordination with local healthcare providers.
How to Choose the Right Doctor and Hospital:
When selecting a doctor and hospital for preventive health services, prioritize facilities that are internationally accredited and have a strong reputation for quality care. It's crucial to verify that the healthcare provider has experience in offering preventive health services and that the staff is well-trained in the latest preventive practices and technologies.
Furthermore, research the facility's preventive health plans to ensure they align with your health needs. Look for hospitals or clinics that offer comprehensive health assessments, personalized lifestyle plans, and access to specialists in various fields. Transparent communication and responsiveness to your questions about preventive strategies, cost, and care coordination are essential in making an informed decision.

Frequently Asked Questions
What actually happens during hyperstimulation of the ovaries?
The patient will take injectable FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) for eight to eleven days, depending on how long the follicles take to mature. This hormone is produced naturally in a woman’s body causing one egg to develop per cycle. Taking the injectable FSH causes several follicles to develop at once, at approximately the same rate. The development is monitored with vaginal ultrasounds and following the patient’s levels of estradiol and progesterone. FSH brand names include Repronex, Follistim, Menopur, Gonal-F and Bravelle. The patient injects herself daily.
What happens during egg retrieval?
When the follicles have developed enough to be harvested, the patient attends an appointment where she is anesthetized and prepared for the procedure. Next, the doctor uses an ultrasound probe to guide a needle through the vaginal wall and into the follicle of the ovary. The thin needle draws the follicle fluid, which is then examined by an embryologist to find the eggs. The whole process takes about 20 minutes.
What happens to the eggs?
In the next step, the harvested eggs are then fertilized. If the sperm from the potential father, or in some cases, anonymous donor, has normal functionality, the eggs and sperm are placed together in a dish with a nutrient fluid, then incubated overnight to fertilize normally. If the sperm functionality is suboptimal, an embryologist uses Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection to inject a single sperm into a single egg with an extremely precise glass needle. Once fertilization is complete, the embryos are assessed and prepared to be transferred to the patient’s uterus.
How are the embryos transferred back to the uterus?
The doctor and the patient will discuss the number of embryos to be transferred. The number of successfully fertilized eggs usually determines the number of eggs to be placed in the uterus. Embryos are transferred to the uterus with transabdominal ultrasound guidance. This process does not require anesthesia, but it can cause minor cervical or uterine discomfort. Following transfer, the patient is advised to take at least one days bed rest and two or three additional days of rest, then 10 to 12 days later, two pregnancy tests are scheduled to confirm success. Once two positive tests are completed, an obstetrical ultrasound is ordered to show the sac, fetal pole, yolk sac and fetal heart rate.
Embryoscope©
Built into this technology there is a microscope with a powerful camera that allows the uninterrupted monitoring of the embryo during its first hours of life. In this way, we can keep a close eye on the embryo, from the moment when the oocyte is inseminated and begins to divide into smaller and smaller cells, until it can be transferred to the uterus.
Orthopedics Stem Cell
Knee
Research on mesenchymal stem cells regenerative properties in knee osteoarthritis. In these studies, researchers suggest that Stem Cell Therapy has the potential to regenerate lost cartilage, stop and reverse cartilage degeneration, provide pain relief, and improve patient mobility.
Shoulder
Stem Cell Therapy as an Alternative to Rotator Cuff & Shoulder Replacement Surgery. Stem cell therapy may offer an excellent alternative for patients looking to avoid shoulder joint replacement surgery, as well as many other surgical treatments for shoulder pain.
