Dr. Bettina Vadera
Dr.Bettina Vadera is the CEO of AMREF Flying Doctors (AFD), an air ambulance service provider based in Nairobi, Kenya. Specialised in Emergency Medicine, with a Diploma in Tropical Diseases and PHD in Nuclear Medicine, Bettina moved from Germany to Kenya where she joined AMREF Flying Doctors. She became the Medical Director of AFD after having served as a flight physician for many years. Bettina was instrumental in developing AFD from a programme of the humanitarian organisation AMREF Health Africa, to a professional, internationally recognised air ambulance service with accreditation from the EURAMI and twice the winner of the ITIJ Air Ambulance provider of the Year Award.
