Dr. Asma Al Mannaei
Dr. Asma Al Mannaei is Director of Healthcare Quality in Abu Dhabi Department of Health.
The Department of Health (DOH) is the regulative body of the Healthcare Sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and ensures excellence in Healthcare for the community by monitoring the health status of the population.
Dr. Asma leads the implementation of Quality measures and framework for the Quality health system, inspects against regulations, enforce standards, and encourages adoption of world-class best practices and performance targets by all healthcare service providers in the Emirate.
With the introduction of JAWDA program in 2014, Quality in Abu Dhabi have taken a leap steps towards building quality of healthcare culture across the healthcare sector that led to strengthen Medical Tourism position in Abu Dhabi.
In 2018, and in collaboration with stakeholders, Dr Asma had launched TIP in Healthcare Award that link research with industry in partnership with DED, Also Dr Asma is leading the team that supports the establishment of Healthcare Innovation Center in in Abu Dhabi together with partners, among them Abu Dhabi Global Market, PlugAndPlay & Mubadala.
Prior to leading Quality division, Dr. Asma was the Director of Strategy that was Responsible for strategic planning and alignment in coordination with other government entities and stakeholders. The strategic scope include capacity planning, reviewing the healthcare financial systems, setting Healthcare policies and regulation, developing healthcare quality framework and publishing statistics.
Dr. Asma is active members of several committees and taskforce:

- Chair of DOH Licensing Committee (2018- up to date)
- Chair of DOH Digital Transformation Taskforce (2016-2017)
- Member of Abu Dhabi Strategic Population and Demographic Committee.

- Member of Executive Team of Health Quality Indicators – MOH
